We are seeking an Archiving & Assets Associate for our asset management department based in our New York office. You must have a passion for music, recorded music history, pop culture and an understanding of the music business. This position reports to the Asset Coordinator, VP of Creative Marketing and Asset Manager, you will be fully immersed in our day-to-day operations ensuring all owned assets, projects, and marketing assets are ingested, archived, prepped and catalogued properly. To be successful, you should have: Bachelor's degree in Library & Info Sciences, Music Business or related field. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge with audio and video editing software (Pro Tools, Premier Pro, Audition). Creative marketing ideas and know how to execute. Project Management expertise and experience in a process-centric, operational role. Archiving and/or filmmaking experience, preferred. Your responsibilities as the Archiving & Assets Associate will include: Manage the ingestion, organization, cataloging, and quality control of digital and physical media assets—including audio, video, photographs, documents, and archival materials to support marketing, creative, and business initiatives. Maintain and enhance digital asset management systems by collecting metadata, conducting research, and ensuring assets are accurately archived, searchable, and connected to original source materials. Support archive operations by onboarding new acquisitions, improving physical and digital storage processes, and collaborating on long-term preservation and accessibility strategies. Organize, digitize, and manage legal documents, contracts, and correspondence to create searchable records that support business affairs and rights management activities. Partner with asset, creative, and marketing teams to identify valuable intellectual property, develop content opportunities, and support the creation of music-focused projects, campaigns, and revenue-generating initiatives. This position's estimated base salary range is $38,000 to $45,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, years of relevant experience, business needs, and the candidate’s overall qualifications for the position as assessed by Primary Wave. The salary range is subject to change at any time and depends on internal and external factors.
