Farmers Insurance is seeking motivated, entrepreneurial professionals to join our Associate Agent Development Program — a structured career path designed to prepare high-performing individuals for future agency ownership.

This is not just another sales role. The Associate Agent Program is a hands-on development opportunity that allows candidates to begin building their own book of business from day one while receiving the training, mentorship, and operational support necessary to become a successful Farmers Agency Owner.

Through the support of the Farmers Insurance San Francisco District Office, Associate Agents receive access to industry-leading training, marketing resources, business development coaching, and ongoing mentorship designed to help them grow into full-time Retail Agency Owners.

The program is structured to provide up to 12 months for qualified candidates to achieve production milestones that may allow Farmers Insurance to waive the traditional capital requirements associated with opening a retail agency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a personal book of business through networking, referrals, marketing, and community engagement

• Educate clients on insurance and financial service solutions that fit their needs

• Build long-term customer relationships through exceptional service and consultative sales

• Participate in ongoing business development and leadership training

• Work closely with district leadership and mentors to prepare for future agency ownership

• Learn the operational and strategic aspects of running a successful insurance agency

Requirements

• Motivated self-starter with strong communication skills

• Sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, or business development experience preferred

• Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership potential

• Ability to obtain or currently possess a Property Casualty License (assistance available)

• Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mentality

• Desire to build a long-term career and future business within the insurance industry
