Sales Engineer (CNC) -- Industrial Machinery (36210)

A manufacturer of industrial cutting machinery is on the search for an experienced Sales Engineer (CNC) to join their team in the Elk Grove Village, IL area . The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and is familiar with the use and function of CNC machinery, and knowledge of the metal-cutting industry. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) matching.

Sales Engineer (CNC) Responsibilities:

• Identify new business development opportunities and establish relationships with potential customers within assigned sales territory
• Act as point of contact for customers and clients regarding product issues, quality assurance, technical support, and any other questions
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams about planning and design, customer requests, market analysis, and expected demand
• Preparation and delivery of product proposals
• Create price quotations and negotiate price/costs with customers
• Secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
• Achieve sales goals and revenue targets with minimal supervision
• Create sales and activity reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Sales Engineer (CNC) Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical field preferred, or comparable mix of education and work experience
• Minimum 3 years of sales and account management experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with industrial cutting machinery is strongly preferred
• Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate in a multicultural environment
• Japanese language skills preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
