Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation Control Analyst to join its North America Reconciliation Utility Control Group. The role involves overseeing reconciliation activities performed by a third-party vendor, TCS, for internal and external accounts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in banking operations, account reconciliations, exception management, operational controls, or financial services. The candidate will monitor reconciliation breaks, review vendor performance, identify operational risks, support regulatory reporting, and coordinate with business teams to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Review reconciliation exceptions and breaks, evaluate vendor research, and provide feedback to improve accuracy and quality.
\n
• Monitor aged reconciliation breaks and weekly aging reports, escalating unresolved issues to product management and senior leadership.
\n
• Oversee reconciliation activities involving cash and stock, Zero Balance Accounts (ZBA), cross-entity accounts, and custodial accounts.
\n
• Perform periodic intraday and end-of-day control checks to validate the quality of vendor deliverables.
\n
• Assist and guide vendor staff in handling exceptions and complex processing scenarios.
\n
• Identify operational risks, monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and support issue resolution.
\n
• Review vendor performance metrics, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and Service Level Agreement (SLA) reports.
\n
• Support daily and monthly regulatory reporting requirements.
\n
• Communicate process updates, operational developments, and service-related changes to vendor teams.
\n
• Escalate vendor-related process or personnel issues to the appropriate vendor management team.
\n
• Review proposed process and documentation changes and ensure compliance with established change management procedures.
\n
• Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders, vendor teams, and senior management.
\n
• Participate in governance meetings, operational improvement initiatives, and reconciliation-related projects.
\n

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in banking operations, financial services, account reconciliation, or operational controls is preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of reconciliation breaks, exception handling, and outstanding item tracking.
\n
• Experience reviewing operational reports, performance metrics, or reconciliation data.
\n
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
\n
• Ability to identify potential risks and escalate issues appropriately.
\n
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college education.
\n
• Experience with cash and stock reconciliations, ZBA, cross-entity, or custodial reconciliations.
\n
• Exposure to vendor oversight, operational risk management, SLA monitoring, or KPI reporting.
\n
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting and financial services controls.
\n
• Experience coordinating with multiple business units to resolve operational discrepancies.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a hybrid contract opportunity based in Baltimore, Maryland. Candidates must be available to work onsite at least three days per week, with attendance tracked.
