Now Hiring: CAD Designer – Gas Distribution & Pipeline Projects
We are seeking a motivated CAD Designer to support utility and infrastructure engineering projects focused on gas distribution systems, pipeline facilities, meter/regulator stations, and related construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within engineering design, drafting, and utility infrastructure.
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Experience Level: Entry-Level to Early Career (0–2+ Years)
1 year contract with opportunity for extension
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare piping/mechanical fabrication drawings, civil site plans, grading plans, and pipeline alignment/profile drawings
- Support gas distribution pipeline construction projects and facility modifications
- Coordinate assigned drafting/design projects and provide drawing review updates
- Research and provide facility mapping and pipeline information to internal teams and external stakeholders
- Interpret field notes, as-built drawings, surveys, and pipeline documentation
- Work closely with engineering, construction, and design teams to support project execution
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate degree or certificate in CAD/Drafting or equivalent experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to read and interpret pipeline/facility drawings and alignment sheets
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Valid driver’s license required

- Autodesk Vault
- Vehicle Tracking
- CADWorx P&ID
- Utility, pipeline, civil, or industrial drafting experience
Work Environment:
- Mix of office and field exposure
- Occasional travel and overnight stays
