Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology (Alhambra, Arcadia, West Covina)Astrana Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support across our outpatient clinics in Alhambra, Arcadia, and West Covina. We are ideally seeking candidates who speak Cantonese or Mandarin to best serve our patient population.Our Values:Put Patients FirstEmpower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care TeamsOperate with Integrity & ExcellenceBe InnovativeWork As One TeamWhat You'll Do:Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a providerAdministrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical recordsClinical duties may include, such as preparing a treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipmentEscort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chartInterviews patients to obtain their medical historyRecords patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical filesMust be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environmentGood verbal and written communication skillsBe able to prioritize workload while remaining flexibleMay be required to work extended hours as operational needs dictatePerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Must be able to work out of any of the 3 clinic locations: Arcadia, Alhambra, West CovinaAt least one (1) or more years of experience working as a Front Desk in a healthcare setting or equivalent administrative experienceHigh school diploma or GEDYou're great for this role if:Bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, or Spanish preferredAbility to maintain confidentiality following HIPAAAttention to detail, organized, ethical, and reliableAbility to communicate clearly and effectively in a courteous and friendly mannerEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:Our organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis.Location: You will be expected to work at multiple locations, including: 333 S. Garfield Ave. #A Alhambra, CA 91801; 101 Wheeler Ave Unit B, Arcadia, CA 91006; and 2707 Valley Blvd, Ste 103, West Covina, CA 91792.Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Monday - Wednesday: 333 S. Garfield Ave. #A Alhambra, CA 91801. Thursday: 101 Wheeler Ave Unit B, Arcadia, CA 91006. Friday: 2707 Valley Blvd, Ste 103, West Covina, CA 91792.The national target pay range for this role is $22 - $26 per hour.
