Allied Health Professional // Cath Lab Technologist $2,121 weekly stipends $13/hour $520 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 8/31/2026 13 weeks Share on Job Description Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week Job Title: Travel Cath Lab Technician Location: Tennessee (Various Facilities) Employment Type: Travel Contract (Typically 13 weeks) Job Summary A Travel Cath Lab Technician assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. The technician is responsible for preparing patients and equipment, maintaining a sterile environment, monitoring patient status, and ensuring high-quality imaging throughout procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab before procedures. Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other vascular interventions. Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Scrub, circulate, and monitor procedures as assigned. Prepare and maintain sterile instruments and supplies. Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the physician and nursing staff. Administer contrast media and assist with medication preparation (as permitted by facility policy). Ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards. Respond to emergency situations during procedures. Participate in on‑call rotation, including weekends and holidays, as required. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program. Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience in an acute care hospital. Experience with: Coronary angiography PCI (angioplasty/stent placement) Peripheral vascular procedures Structural heart procedures (preferred) Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Required Certifications Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. One of the following, depending on facility requirements: Cath Lab Tech Certification Preferred Qualifications Experience with EP Lab or Interventional Radiology procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR). Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance. Wear lead aprons for prolonged periods. Manual dexterity to handle sterile instruments and equipment. Schedule 5 x 8‑hour shifts Call requirements commonly include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Contract length is generally 13 weeks , with the possibility of extension.
