Mike Calvert Ford is proud to be the newest addition to the Vaughan Automotive Group family. As our newest acquired dealership, we're entering an exciting new chapter — bringing fresh energy, new opportunities, and renewed investment in our people and our customers. We're looking for an experienced Auto Body/Collision Center Technician to repair and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition, working with modern collision repair equipment and techniques to deliver high-quality, efficient repairs.
Responsibilities
- Repair and restore vehicle bodies, frames, and panels according to manufacturer and industry standards
- Perform frame straightening, panel replacement, welding, and structural repairs as needed
- Prep, sand, and prepare vehicles for paint and refinishing
- Read and follow estimates, repair orders, and OEM repair procedures
- Use collision repair equipment such as frame machines, welders, and measuring systems accurately and safely
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure proper fit, finish, and structural integrity
- Communicate with the Collision Center Estimator and Manager regarding repair status, additional damage, or parts needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop safety policies
- Keep tools and equipment in good working order
- Stay current on repair techniques, materials, and equipment as vehicle technology evolves
- Prior experience as an auto body or collision repair technician required
- Own a complete set of hand tools appropriate for collision repair
- Strong knowledge of frame repair, panel replacement, and welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and OEM repair procedures
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts/equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- I-CAR certification(s) a plus
- ASE certification(s) a plus
- Experience with Ford-specific collision repair procedures and materials
