CAM Programmer for Fusion 360 Evaluation

Role Overview
Create objective, text-only evaluation rubrics and written rationales for Fusion 360 CAM programs used to decide whether a given CAM solution would be approved or rejected by an expert machinist for a production run. The work focuses on producing verifiable criteria, and may include reviewing existing CAM programs and explaining pass or fail outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Author 10-criterion rubrics for grading Fusion 360 CAM programs, tailored to provided CAD models and specific machining context, including stock, machine, and tooling.
- Write clear, verifiable rationale for each criterion so a reviewer can check compliance objectively.
- Review sample CAM solutions and document why each solution passes or fails against the rubric, with explicit reasoning.
- Hands-on Fusion 360 CAM experience, with access to a Fusion 360 license.
- Ability to program 4-axis and/or 5-axis CNC toolpaths.
- Minimum 5 years of CAM programming experience.
- Strong production judgment, able to assess what will and will not run safely on real machines.
- Fluent written English, since all deliverables are text-based.
- Preferred: experience as a CAM instructor or other teaching experience.
Remote, global role. Hourly engagement, paid per hour. Deliverables are text-based rubrics and written evaluations. Candidates must have access to their own Fusion 360 license and the software environment needed to produce and verify CAM work.
Compensation120 - 175 hourly
Eligibility- Must have hands-on Fusion 360 CAM experience and personal access to a Fusion 360 license.
- Must meet the minimum experience and skill requirements listed above, including 5+ years of CAM programming and the ability to program 4- or 5-axis toolpaths.
- Written English fluency is required because all outputs are textual.
