What You’ll Do
• Provide day-to-day legal support for a multi-state portfolio of self-storage assets
• Advise internal teams on operational risk, regulatory compliance, and state-specific laws
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor, service, and property management agreements
• Partner with business teams to support operations while balancing legal and commercial objectives
• Identify risk in agreements and offer practical, business-focused solutions
• Support process improvements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting real estate and storage operations
• Conduct legal research and deliver clear, actionable guidance to stakeholders
• Assist with vendor due diligence and enterprise risk initiatives
• Support corporate governance and entity management matters
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and specialized legal matters
What You Bring
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate or real estate law
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
• Licensed and in good standing in New York or another U.S. jurisdiction
• Experience supporting real estate transactions or asset-level operations preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
