 $27.51/hour + Benefits

The Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center (MIWRC) is seeking a compassionate and community-centered  ICWA Kinship Worker to support Native American children and families by helping identify, recruit, and support kinship and foster placements in accordance with the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).

In this role, you will work directly with Native families, foster parents, community partners, and child welfare professionals to strengthen family connections, provide culturally responsive support, coordinate services, facilitate Native parenting groups, conduct outreach, and help families navigate the foster care and licensing process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with families involved in child protection or foster care.
• Experience working with Native American individuals and families.
• Knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) is highly desirable.
• Understanding of historical trauma, family systems, and trauma-informed care.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DHS Criminal Background Study.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
