Tops Staffing is hiring a manufacturing technician for a union manufacturing facility offering excellent training and a structured wage progression program. This role is ideal for candidates with basic manufacturing experience who are comfortable using hand and power tools and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing. This position functions as a utility technician within the facility, supporting multiple areas of the production process. While you may assist in different departments, the role has a strong focus on mechanical assembly, product testing, and repair work. The company offers a strong training program designed to develop employees with entry to intermediate skill levels. Employees receive scheduled raises every three months during their first year as they learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly of manufactured products
• Product testing, troubleshooting, and repair work
• Operate shop equipment such as saws, grinders, drills, and cutting tools
• Assist with shipping/receiving, painting, washing, and general production support
• Follow work orders, drawings, and engineering specifications
• Record test results and production data as required

Qualifications:

• Basic manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team

Pay progression:

• Starting pay: $21.70/hour
• 3 months: $22.75/hour
• 6 months: $23.90/hour
• 9 months: $25.00/hour
• 12 months: $26.35/hour
• Additional pay: Night shift: +$1.50/hour

Shift times:

• 1st: 6am - 2:30pm
• 2nd: 2pm - 10:30pm
• 3rd: 10pm - 6:30am
