Job Responsibilities

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups through validated tests and observational assessments.
• Create tailored treatment plans that tackle both immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication, fluency, language, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure holistic care.
• Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions to guarantee a continuous care pathway.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Remain current with advancements in the field via continued education and interaction with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is favorable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting.
