Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and thorough observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that encompass both immediate objectives and the broader spectrum of communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver personalized, one-on-one speech therapy tailored to enhance aspects of communication, language fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and their families to promote ongoing progression beyond therapeutic interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers to remain abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• Must possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• CCC-SLP certification from ASHA desired.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
