Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a mix of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing strengths and challenges.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure progression outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Occasionally undertake inpatient speech evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain diligent, accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage in continued professional development through ongoing education and team collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
