Cost Accounting Manager

About the role As a key member of the Accounting team, you will ensure OBE’s accounting policies, procedures, and controls are consistently applied and in accordance with U.S. GAAP. This hybrid role is based at our Dallas Corporate Headquarters three times per week. Responsibilities Work closely with facilities to ensure business activities are transacted properly and consistently across all facilities in our systems Oversee and improve Manufacturing Costing, Variance, and Intercompany pricing Oversee and maintain slow‑moving and obsolete provisions Review costing and production efficiency metrics Review and update Labor and Overhead rates Review and record variance recognition Ensure appropriate inventory cycle counts and physical inventories Ensure proper revenue and cost recognition across facilities: matching principle, proper cut‑off, no bill & holds, etc. Ensure timely month‑end close process and maintain open lines of communication with Controllers and Finance Directors with status updates Essential qualifications Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible accounting leadership roles Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field Extensive US GAAP experience and understanding with a "get things done" attitude Experience working for a public company with an effective SOX environment preferred Experience with private equity‑backed companies preferred Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain, with manufacturing experience required A builder who is comfortable developing and implementing business process improvement rather than maintaining existing processes Strong collaborator and business partner – enables and facilitates the needs of the business and identifies proactive solutions to challenging situations Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization What OBE Offers You Industry‑competitive benefits at the lowest cost to the employee Work‑life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose Compensation that rewards your hard work – a pay‑for‑performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses Training – we will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed OBE will not discharge or discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or inquiring about their own or others' pay. #J-18808-Ljbffr Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope
