We deliver quality workmanship on every project, honor our commitments, and do what is right for our employees and our customers.We are currently looking for experienced Telecommunications Cabling Technicians to add to our staff in the Wilmington, NC area. Telecommunications Cabling Technicians report to the Operations Manager and will work daily with a team led by the assigned Project Foreman. Willingness to learn, dependability and a strong work ethic are critical for success in this role.Telecommunications Cabling Technicians are responsible for:Category rated copper cable installationFiber Optic structured cable distribution system installationPulling cable, fire stopping, dressing cables and labeling to industry standardsTerminating, assembling and installing 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors and optical fiber connectorsAccurately testing copper and fiber cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipmentDiagnosing and correcting copper and optical fiber problemsReading blue prints to determine closet and equipment layoutsInstalling closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosuresAttending training and safety meetings, and working safely at all times utilizing the necessary Personal Protection EquipmentMTS Services offers:$1000 Sign-on BonusStarting pay between $18-$35, based on experience2 weeks of PTO your first year8 paid holidays$30 per month cell phone reimbursementFull benefits package including medical, dental, and vision401(k) after 90 days of service with up to 4% company matchCabling done right – our people make the difference!We hire great people from a wide variety of backgrounds, not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger.
