Company Description LEAD Training is a Cincinnati-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that equips young people from kindergarten through young adulthood with life and career readiness skills. The organization designs and delivers programs focused on career readiness, life skills, and social-emotional learning (SEL), with a mission to support students who may feel stymied or unsupported. Through initiatives such as the High School Workforce Initiative, customized employability modules, company partnerships, and career coaching, LEAD helps students develop confidence and plan viable post-secondary paths, whether enrolled, enlisted, or employed. Role Description The Medical & Behavioral Health Program Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH. This position oversees the design, implementation, and evaluation of medical and behavioral health components across LEAD’s High School Workforce Initiative programs, ensuring they align with best practices in mental and behavioral health and support students’ career pathway development. The Director will manage day-to-day program operations, including coordinating services, behavioral health credential instruction at local high schools, providing individualized post-graduation career guidance for students, supervising students on internships, implementing K-8 career and life-skill programming, organizing medical and behavioral health events, coordinating CNA and phlebotomy training across multiple schools (instructing if certified), and monitoring case management activities to support student success. Responsibilities include collaborating with school partners and community organizations, developing and refining program curricula, tracking outcomes and reporting on program impact, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines. The role also involves contributing to grant reports as needed, supporting staff engagement in the program, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment for all students. Qualifications Strong foundation in Mental Health, Behavioral Health, Nursing, or Healthcare, or Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-informed practices in youth-focused programming. Experience with Case Management, including assessment, service coordination, and follow-up to support student well-being and progress. Demonstrated ability in Program Development, such as designing, implementing, and evaluating medical and behavioral health programs or services. Relevant education in psychology, social work, nursing, social work, counseling, public health, or a related field; advanced degree or licensure (e.g., LISW, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC) is preferred. Experience working with youth or school-based populations, especially in diverse or underserved communities. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with educators, community partners, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to analyze data, document outcomes, and use findings to improve program quality and impact.
