Responsibilities and Authorities Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations. Display honesty and integrity. Build strong partnerships with other bar team members. Be observant and thorough. Be responsible and punctual. Have a courteous, friendly personality and professional appearance. Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage in all bar areas. Set up and break down the bar to rooftop standards. Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, and ensuring bartenders have clean towels, cups, etc. Ensure the bar is well‑stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer. Keep the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash to the dumpster. Maintain records and report usage levels to assist in the reordering process and ensure delivered items are stored properly. Assist with receiver work for the liquor storage, restocking backup liquor cages, and ensuring bartenders have all materials needed for service. Ensure all tables are clear and cleaned during open and close shifts. Support prep with batching and labeling items. Clean and refill draft lines for the bar. Follow Department of Health (DOH) cleanliness and food handling protocols, including proper glove use. Requirements One to two (1-2) years of bar experience or equivalent. Minimum age to serve alcohol. Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors. Ability to work outdoors in warm weather conditions. Team‑oriented with a proactive attitude toward supporting service operations. Attention to cleanliness, organization, and guest safety. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally. Ability to meet the physical and scheduling demands of the position, including walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and working nights, weekends, and holidays.
