The Coordinator, Step Further Communications plays a key role in advancing the Step Further brand by developing and executing integrated communications strategies that elevate awareness, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and amplify the organization's mission and impact. This position supports the creation of compelling storytelling and strategic content across multiple channels, helping to position Step Further as a trusted thought leader within the industry. The coordinator ensures consistent and impactful messaging across digital platforms, campaigns, newsletters, media outreach, and stakeholder communications. They develop engaging content including website copy, feature stories, press releases, executive communications, and editorial materials that showcase program outcomes, innovation, and organizational achievements. In addition, the coordinator supports proactive media relations efforts by monitoring industry and media trends, managing media coverage reporting, and identifying opportunities to increase brand visibility through earned media, conferences, partnerships, and community engagement initiatives. The role also coordinates thought leadership activities, including speaking engagements, webinars, podcasts, conferences, and media interviews, managing logistics and partnering with subject matter experts to deliver polished, high-impact presentations and external communications. Through strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills, the Coordinator helps enhance the visibility, credibility, and influence of the Step Further initiative among key audiences and stakeholders. Location :Remote (United States) Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that advance the Step Further brand, increase awareness, and support organizational objectives. Draft, edit, and coordinate compelling content for websites, newsletters, articles, campaign materials, reports, and stakeholder communications that effectively communicate organizational impact and outcomes. Ensure consistent application of brand standards, messaging, voice, and visual identity across all communication channels and external-facing materials. Coordinate updates to website content, ensuring information is accurate, relevant, engaging, and aligned with organizational priorities and communication strategies. Assist with media outreach activities, including drafting and distributing press releases, responding to media inquiries, and maintaining media contact databases. Monitor media coverage, track communication metrics, prepare news clippings and media summaries, and provide insights on media visibility and public perception. Develop communication materials that strengthen relationships with community partners, stakeholders, sponsors, and other external audiences. Support the planning and execution of speaking engagements, conferences, webinars, podcasts, panel discussions, and media opportunities that position organizational leaders as industry thought leaders. Coordinate communication and logistical activities related to conferences, community events, stakeholder meetings, and external engagement initiatives. Support and or administer multiple communications projects simultaneously while monitoring deadlines, coordinating approvals, and ensure timely delivery of communication products and campaigns. Transforms information and organizational achievements into compelling narratives that increase awareness, engagement, and credibility. Develops and delivers clear, audience-focused communications that support organizational goals and strengthen stakeholder understanding and engagement. Qualifications: Demonstrated success and a proventrack recordinprofessional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries. Military service can substitute for professional experience and/or formal education requirements. 3 years of experience supporting communications campaigns, branding initiatives, or public engagement efforts. 1-3 years of experience in developing and editing content for multiple communication channels, including websites, newsletters, social media, reports, and stakeholder communications. You’llStandOut If You Have: Experience utilizing analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite Analytics, Sprout Social, or similar platforms. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Advertising, Mass Communications, or a related field. Effectively utilizes digital platforms and communication channels to engage audiences and support organizational objectives. Maintains social media platforms, content scheduling, audience engagement, and channel performance. Develops compelling, audience-focused content and narratives that communicate organizational impact across digital formats. Uses performance metrics and audience insights to evaluate effectiveness and inform content and engagement strategies. Creates photography, video, and other visual assets that enhance digital communications and brand awareness. Works effectively with colleagues, partners, stakeholders, and external audiences to support communication objectives. Embraces change, explores new technologies, and applies innovative approaches to digital communications.
