Responsibilities
- Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABG); document results and actions in the EMR.
- Perform patient assessments and implement Therapist Driven Protocols, adjusting therapy per protocol.
- Manage continuous mechanical ventilation, conduct spontaneous breathing trials, and assist with weaning as indicated.
- Respond to emergencies and trauma activations; participate in airway management and resuscitation efforts as needed.
- Provide bronchial hygiene, chest physical therapy, oxygen administration, hyperinflation therapy, and aerosol therapies; monitor response and adjust as directed.
- Screen pulmonary function studies; document findings; ensure therapy is properly initiated and updated in the EMR, Cardex, and treatment cards.
- Complete shift handoffs, ongoing documentation, and charge-related paperwork; prioritize workload and communicate issues to leadership.
- Educate patients and families as appropriate; maintain equipment, ensure stock, and participate in ongoing professional development.

Requirements
- Current New Hampshire license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with the described respiratory therapy modalities and ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and charge capture; ability to work in a hospital travel setting
- Willingness to work nights and adapt to a travel assignment
