Field Fresh Foods, 14805 S San Pedro Street, Gardena, California, United States of America Location: On-site at Field Fresh Foods Maintenance Technician (PM) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (PM) to perform preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor repairs on production and facility equipment. This role is critical to ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and supporting uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate has hands‑on mechanical and electrical skills, knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced food production environment. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred to communicate effectively with team members. What You’ll Do Perform preventive maintenance inspections and servicing of machinery and facility equipment Lubricate, adjust, and replace parts on production and warehouse equipment as needed Assist in troubleshooting and minor repairs of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Complete maintenance logs and documentation accurately and on time Follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life Collaborate with maintenance, production, and operations teams to support workflow efficiency Ensure compliance with OSHA, food safety, and company safety standards Report potential issues or equipment failures to supervisors for corrective action Maintain tools, supplies, and work areas in an organized and safe manner Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish when coordinating with staff What You Bring to the Table Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or electrical systems preferred Experience: 2+ years of maintenance technician or mechanical repair experience, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English (Preferred) Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Preventive Maintenance Knowledge: Experience with PM programs, checklists, and CMMS Problem‑Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues early and take corrective action Safety Awareness: Understanding of OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and food safety protocols Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in cold environments, and stand for extended periods Benefits Competitive pay: $20.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience, with overtime opportunities available.
