Asset Protection Specialist (Full Time)

Overview At Green Thumb Industries and RISE Dispensaries, Asset Protection Specialists (APS) are the warm, welcoming face of the dispensary. The role blends hospitality, customer service, and safety leadership to enhance the guest experience and support team operations. Key Responsibilities Welcoming & Check-In Experience Be the first smiling face guests see—greet all visitors with warmth and positivity. Manage check-in with professionalism and efficiency, while upholding compliance standards. Set the “RISE Vibe” from the moment customers enter our doors. Provide basic concierge-level support: answering common questions and directing traffic. Safety, Security & Support Serve as a visible, approachable, and responsive presence to deter incidents and ensure a sense of calm and order. Monitor areas of the premises, including store entry/exit and site perimeters, to ensure safety, comfort, and compliance. De-escalate situations with empathy, tact, and clear communication. Escort customers and visitors as needed and remain alert and mobile to support safety and guest flow. Report and respond promptly to any safety, security, or compliance incidents. Support emergency procedures and preparedness (e.g., fire, evacuation, weather response). Conduct visual inspections and checks per SOPs to maintain a secure, hazard-free environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration Foster strong relationships with store teams, leadership, and customers. Share insights on guest interactions, safety concerns, and security risks with transparency and discretion. Support training of new APS team members to model warm, professional, and compliant behavior. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least one year of customer-facing or concierge experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and/or compliance technology preferred. Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus when paired with a strong commitment to guest-first, hospitality-focused service. Ability to work a schedule including varying shifts (mornings, days, nights, weekends) to meet business needs. Reliable, responsible, and dependable attendance. Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements. Possess valid driver’s license or state ID. Must be 21 years or older and meet all state-specific cannabis employment requirements. Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry. Additional Requirements Must be able to perform tasks for prolonged periods (up to the duration of a scheduled shift or workday). Remain alert and responsive during extended periods of time. Move about the dispensary to assist guests in various locations. Remain stationary when required to meet business needs. Converse and communicate with individuals and groups effectively. Operate POS, computer, and office productivity tools. Handle patient/customer information and inquiries accurately. Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Move self and equipment in storage areas as needed. Stand or walk for extended periods, indoors and outdoors. Maintain a visible and mobile presence throughout the shift, engaging with guests and supporting operations on the floor. Skills Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills. Working Conditions Engaging, fast-paced retail environment with guest-facing duties. Outdoor duties in varying weather conditions may be required.
