Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Acute Care

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary occupational therapy services to our patients, working under the direction of the Manager of Inpatient Therapy Services. Your role will involve evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to support recovery and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine occupational therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to assist patients in achieving their health goals.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in Inpatient Acute Care setting is required.
• ICU experience is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a B.S. or M.S. in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered by the State of Michigan.
• Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association is recommended.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
