The Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile (HACM) Program's Avionics Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead is responsible for leading a multi-disciplined, geographically dispersed team in the design, development, and delivery of the Guidance Section, Flight Termination System, Telemetry and Electronics Subsystems. The Avionics IPT Lead will frequently interface with internal and external stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, key major suppliers and government customers. The role requires a high level of execution expertise coupled with the ability to lead a high visibility development program. The additional responsibilities of the Avionics IPT Lead aspect of the role include ensuring all Avionics related scope across the HACM Portfolio is executed per program plan, with a cohesive technical approach and compliant to our execution practices. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. What You Will Do Drive execution of work scope as defined in the program schedule and define objectives and priorities for your sub-IPTs (integrated product team) leads. Communicate to both RTX and program leadership to provide status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed. Manage team budget and schedule and work with your team to ensure cost goals and schedule milestones are met. Track cost and schedule performance using EVMS (earned value management system), be responsible for estimated-at-complete (EACs), and report business metrics to program and functional leadership. Provide program leadership to the Sub-IPTs and many collaborative partners from undefined Manage the development maturation of leading-edge Guidance Section subsystem technologies across the Portfolio to deliver a production ready design, within a challenging schedule. Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Engineering Directorate Leaders, Chief Engineers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts to maintain alignment across the Portfolio Provide mentoring and guidance to team members. Collaborate with other IPTs to ensure system effectiveness. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. At least 5 years of experience managing a multi-disciplined Hardware Engineering Team. Experience with technical team and supplier management. Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to program leadership. Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Familiarity with Hypersonic Programs Program Management certification Excellent presentation and proposal skills Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to drive design and development Experience managing supplier development of complex electrical subsystems Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) Active Top Secret Clearance (Department of Defense) 10+ years of experience in managing a multi-disciplined Hardware Engineering Team thru the product development lifecycle Expert knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
