Senior Market Research Analyst

Senior Market Research Analyst: Assist the Research & Insights team in developing an empirical understanding of our audiences—to inform strategic decision‑making through primary and secondary research, data analysis, and client communication. Responsibilities Under the authority of the Research & Insights Director, perform essential market research elements: client communication, research design, timeline and budget development, project management, sample design, questionnaire design and programming, development of moderator guides, oversight of data collection and processing, primary and secondary data analysis, conclusions and recommendations, report preparation, and presentation to stakeholders. Collaborate with Research team members, internal clients, partner teams, and external vendors. Manage projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, accurately, and with excellence. Define and clarify research objectives with clients and develop the optimal research plan/methodology. Design and execute sampling plans to meet research objectives, including source selection, respondent criteria, size, and quotas. Design research instruments: questionnaires, moderator guides, or other materials; develop and implement codebooks for quantitative surveys. Program questionnaires and instruments into Research team applications. Ensure quality control during data collection and processing; compile clean datasets and apply weighting as needed. Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and data modeling; document all cleaning, transformation, and analysis steps through scripts. Moderate focus groups (in‑person and online) and conduct in‑depth interviews (IDIs); moderate market research online communities (MROCs) as needed. Perform secondary data analysis on market trends related to target audiences. Produce clear, concise, user‑friendly reports—including executive summaries, key findings, and implications for internal ministry clients and the organization as a whole. Present research findings to clients, stakeholders, senior management, and other internal audiences. Review junior analysts’ work to ensure quality and accuracy; coach, train, and mentor them. Evaluate, select, and manage research vendors. Consult with and provide guidance to other departments and senior management on research methodology, analysis, and application of results. Knowledge / Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, or Social Science; graduate studies or degree an plus. 5‑7 years of marketing research or analytics experience. 3‑5 years of project management experience. Experience in quantitative sample design, survey design, and analysis. Experience in qualitative research design, execution, and analysis. Preferred experience moderating focus groups or conducting IDIs. Proficiency with descriptive and inferential statistics. Knowledge of advanced statistics (Factor, Cluster, Discriminant, Logistic Regression, SEM) is a plus. Proficiency in SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or similar statistical software. Experience with survey software or research platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer, Survey Monkey, Recollective). Experience communicating research findings to various audiences. Experience contracting with or working with research vendors. Experience training, coaching, or mentoring employees. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
