What You'll Be Doing Estimate and proposal creation Proposal tracking and customer follow-up Project and job cost setups (project handoff - precon to construction) Contract negotiations and redlining Establish project schedule baselines Onboarding projects, folder and file setups Subcontractor and vendor solicitation Linear takeoffs Earthwork volume takeoffs Sales & business development for potential new projects Professional communication with general contractors, owners and municipality representatives Cooperate and communicate with others in a team environment. What You Offer Minimum 5 years of estimating experience (heavy civil) in a construction environment a must. Minimum 2 years of college, preferably in a construction related field. Experience in heavy civil construction related projects Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Planswift, Microsoft Suite, Agtek, Project/P6, Spectrum Open to learn other software applications Easily learn other software applications. Ability to read plans. A team player who works well with others or independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving. Must be self-motivated, calm under pressure, and consistently able to meet deadlines. Organized with the ability to multi-task. Pass a background check and drug screen. Positive attitude.
