Your Role and Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and devising personalized treatment plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in collaboration with physicians or independently based on credentials
• Informing patients and their families about preventive measures, wellness strategies, and managing health conditions
• Prescribing medications and therapies adhering to your practice scope
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care
• Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to assure comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Educational Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licensing and Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner license in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
