Social Media Manager & Content Creator

The Role This is a highly creative, execution-focused role for someone who can both build and grow tm:rw's brand organically across social platforms and produce the visual, video, and written content that fuels it — all in one seat. Based at our NYC store, you'll turn campaign ideas, product launches, and in-store moments into compelling content, and own the day-to-day publishing, community management, and performance of tm:rw's social presence. The role is heavily hands‑on and content-led, with a strong emphasis on using AI tools to create, refine, and publish content at speed and scale. You'll work closely with the Marketing team and CEO to bring campaign concepts to life, using both traditional design skills and modern AI tools to move from brief to finished, published asset quickly — without ever letting quality slip. What You'll Be Doing Content Creation & Publishing Plan, shoot, and produce content for social media, email, website, and in-store screens Create and publish high volumes of brand-aligned original content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and emerging channels Independently produce short‑form video, static posts, carousels, stories, and written content Write and edit short‑form copy for captions, posts, and campaign assets Adapt content across formats and channels (Instagram, TikTok, email, in-store, partner channels) Capture and create content in real time from the NYC store, events, and day‑to‑day brand moments Maintain a content calendar and a well‑organised asset library Graphic Design & Visual Production Design graphics, templates, and visual assets for campaigns, social, and brand partner activations Ensure all output is consistent with Smartech's and partners' brand guidelines Support in‑store visual merchandising and event collateral where needed Edit photo and video content to a polished, publish‑ready standard AI Tools & Workflow Use AI tools (e.g. image generation, AI video/editing tools, copywriting assistants) to speed up ideation, drafting, and production Prompt and refine AI‑generated outputs to match brand tone and visual identity Stay current on new AI tools and techniques relevant to content and design, and bring useful ones into the team's workflow Balance AI‑assisted speed with hands‑on craft — knowing when to use AI and when to do it manually Organic Growth & Brand Presence Drive organic growth through frequent posting, trend participation, and platform‑native content Spot trends, memes, and cultural moments quickly and turn them into relevant, on‑brand content Continuously test different content styles, hooks, and formats to maximise reach and engagement Community & Engagement Manage comments and DMs across platforms, responding in a timely and brand‑appropriate way Build an engaged and authentic community through active interaction and conversation Surface audience insights, recurring questions, and feedback to the wider team Performance Awareness Monitor post‑level performance and engagement metrics Use performance insights to adjust content execution and improve results over time Track and report on content performance at regular intervals, sharing insights with Marketing/Brand leadership Campaign Support & Internal Collaboration Work closely with the Marketing Manager and CEO to turn campaign briefs into visual and written content Support key marketing campaigns, brand partner launches, and seasonal moments with planned, coordinated social content Create content tied to in‑store activations, flagship events, and retail storytelling Coordinate with brand partners, agencies, and external creators on co‑branded content where needed Feed insight back into the team on what content is resonating with audiences What We're Looking For 3–5 years' experience in social media, content creation, graphic design, or digital marketing A strong portfolio showing range across graphic design, photo/video, and copy Proven ability to create large volumes of content consistently and build a brand's presence from scratch Hands‑on experience using AI tools for content creation and optimisation (e.g. Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Canva AI, ChatGPT, Claude, AI video/editing tools) Proficiency in core design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma) Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and short‑form content Confident copywriting skills with a strong sense of voice and tone Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple content pieces against deadlines Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, creative, in‑person environment NYC-based and available to work on‑site at our store, full‑time #J-18808-Ljbffr
