Dental Front Office/Patient Care Coordinator

Dental Front Office/Patient Care Coordinator Austin, United States | Posted on 09/30/2026 Derby Dental is a warm, patient-focused general practice in the Far West / Northwest Hills area of Austin, looking for an experienced Front Office team member to join our team. Led by Dr. Erika Whitehouse and Dr. Meghan Kilkelly, known for a welcoming, anxiety-free experience, the kind of place patients describe as feeling like family. This is a great fit for an experienced coordinator who understands that the front desk is the first and last impression of the practice. The role: You'll be the welcoming face of our office and the engine behind a smooth-running front desk; managing insurance, treatment plans, and patient financials with accuracy and warmth while creating an exceptional experience from check-in to checkout. What you'll do: Verify PPO and Medicaid insurance with breakdowns Enter insurance frequencies Generate and present treatment plans Handle financial planning, including in-house and CareCredit Read EOBs and send PPO claims Maintain the reception area and welcome patients Make confirmation calls Generate and call recall lists Scan documents and apply knowledge of ADA codes Coordinate specialty referrals Schedule: Monday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Tuesday 7:00 AM-2:00 PM Thursday 7:00 AM-2:00 PM Friday-Sunday off Requirements What we're looking for: 1+ years of dental front office experience Confident with PPO/Medicaid verification and treatment plan presentation Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable Upbeat, warm, and personable; someone patients remember An excellent communicator in person, on the phone, and over text/email Organized and adaptable, with a problem-solver's mindset Preferred: RDA background or comfortability supporting the hygiene department is a strong plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
