Texas Health Denton is a Joint Commission-accredited Primary (Level II) Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, a Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and a Magnet designated hospital. Our four-story specialty center for women and infants features 12 labor and delivery beds, 2 C-section suites along with 6 antepartum and 24 postpartum beds. Texas Health Denton is the city's only provider of obstetrical and neonatal intensive care services and is the largest provider of obstetrical services in Denton County. The ground floor houses a breast imaging center, outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation and an internal medicine residency program.

Qualifications

What You'll Need Associate's Degree Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological science preferred; must be attained within 3 months of hire as required. Or another education equivalent to an associate's degree in a laboratory science or medical technology (must include at least 60 hours or equivalent from an accredited institution that include at a minimum either 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses that include at least 6 semester hours of chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology or medical laboratory technology in any combination is required prior to hire. Associate's Degree Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological science is preferred upon hire and must be attained within 3 months of hire. Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program is required. Two (2) years of experience in a Medical Laboratory is preferred. MLT(ASCP) - Medical Lab Technician MLT(ASCP) or equivalent (AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology) Registry must be attained within 6 months of hire date. MLT(ASCP) is preferred and required within 6 months of hire.
