Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Location: El Paso, Texas, 79925
Pay rate: $46.66/hr on W2.
Job SummarySeeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners with Engineering, R&D, Sourcing, Operations, and Quality teams to qualify suppliers, resolve quality issues, and ensure purchased components meet industry, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify and monitor suppliers, materials, parts, and services.
- Resolve supplier-related quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Conduct supplier assessments and support supplier development.
- Develop sampling strategies, control plans, receiving inspection requirements, and supplier quality programs.
- Provide quality and technical guidance for supplier changes and product lifecycle activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to prevent defects and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 4+ years of relevant experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years).
- Experience in Medical Device or Automotive part qualification.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA QMSR requirements.
- Experience with supplier quality/development and process improvement.
- Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing (GD&T) .
- Agile and TrackWise experience is a plus.
- Project management experience preferred.
