Chief Executive Officer

We are seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead an equity-focused philanthropic organization with a long-standing legacy of community-rooted impact. The role centers on advocating for philanthropy grounded in the voices and expertise of women and impacted communities, and on building effective partnerships with donors and stakeholders who share the organization’s values and goals. The CEO will set strategic direction, help advance innovative philanthropic strategies, and ensure the organization’s work strengthens outcomes for women, girls, and their families. The organization’s approach emphasizes trust-based philanthropy, including practices such as multiyear unrestricted grantmaking, donor transparency, and collaborative donor engagement. The CEO is expected to appreciate and carry forward this mission-driven foundation while positioning the organization for continued growth and catalytic influence at major decision-making tables. This leadership role will require credible advocacy and strong public communication to amplify the voices of those most impacted by systemic barriers, while maintaining an empathetic, motivational leadership style. Key responsibilities include understanding the organization’s history, mission, constituencies, partners, structure, and the value of its work; providing equity-centered strategic leadership that balances vision with day-to-day operational oversight; and delivering fundraising expertise to enhance impact across programs and initiatives. The CEO will ensure the organization remains fiscally sound, operationally efficient, and aligned with its equity-focused mission, supporting both internal management and external partnership-building to further the organization’s goals.
