Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Long Term Care (LTC) unit is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting. The RN will maintain appropriate staffing ratios, deliver comprehensive patient care, and float to other units as needed. This role requires prior travel nursing experience and previous charge nurse experience, with a focus on ensuring high-quality care for an average daily census of 21 residents.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care for residents in a Long Term Care unit with an average daily census of 21 residents and 23 beds.
Maintain a staffing ratio of 1 nurse per 10 residents on all shifts.
Float to other units as required to support staffing needs.
Work every other weekend (EOW) to ensure continuous patient care.
Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
Serve in a charge nurse capacity as required.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience.
Previous charge nurse experience required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience working in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

Special Considerations:

Applicants must live more than 75 miles away from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted.
Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs.
Work every other weekend schedule applies.

Scheduling:

Shifts are assigned to maintain a staffing ratio of 1 nurse per 10 residents.
Work schedule includes every other weekend shifts.
Shift types may vary based on unit needs and floating assignments.
