Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Schedule

Full-Time, 3x12 hour shifts (day or night shift). Extended contracts through holidays required.

Assignment Details

Contract duration: 23 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts in 4 weeks.

Requirements

• New York State Registered Nurse Licensure
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical/surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, compassionate care to patients and families.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to set and monitor patient goals.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes post-discharge.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practice and engage in quality improvement activities.
• Foster a healing environment by building trust and rapport with patients and families.
