Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Acute Care

Registered Nurse Endoscopy

Schedule: 4x9s (36 hours per week), shifts start at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM depending on assigned role.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 23 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

• New York State RN licensure
• One (1) year of experience in an Endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observation.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on self-care post-discharge, focusing on lifestyle changes for health and healing.
• Promote a healing environment by building trust and ensuring comfort for patients and families.
• Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and documentation standards.

Compliance / Notes:

• 68 days of call per month, including one Friday, one Saturday, and one Sunday. One weekday per week.
• Response time for call is 1 hour.
• No holidays or additional weekends except during call shifts.
