Job Title: Quality Manager Job Description
The Quality Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment. This role leads the Quality Department, ensures ISO 9001 compliance, oversees customer quality concerns, and develops effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). The Quality Manager collaborates closely with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Sales, and Operations to enhance product quality, increase productivity, and reduce turnaround time, while providing strong leadership and technical guidance to the quality team.

Work Environment
This role operates in a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position is highly collaborative, involving regular interaction with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Sales, and Operations teams, and uses standard office tools such as Microsoft Office for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage the Quality Department, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to technical team members.
- Plan, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Oversee the handling of customer quality concerns, including investigation, documentation, and resolution of complaints.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct and oversee internal audits to assess QMS effectiveness, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.
- Lead root cause analysis activities to identify underlying issues affecting product and process quality.
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality metrics and KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Manage customer complaints and corrective actions, ensuring timely, accurate, and thorough responses.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Facilities, Sales, and Operations to improve quality, productivity, and turnaround time.
- Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Coordinate quality-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and aligned with business objectives.
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and accountability across the organization.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive quality management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and implementation.
- Expertise in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Advanced skills in root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience with internal auditing of quality systems.
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Ability to develop, track, and interpret quality metrics and KPIs.
- Experience managing customer complaints and corrective actions.
- Proven leadership experience supervising technical teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Quality management or supervisory experience specifically in manufacturing environments.
- Experience leading the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS).
- ASQ certification (such as Certified Quality Engineer) is highly desirable.
- Experience working in cleanroom environments.
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards and aerospace-related quality requirements.
