Job Description

This position involves basic packaging, shipping, and receiving tasks. The main duties include packaging boxes with delicate and large pieces, using bubble wrap to ensure items are not damaged during transport, and moving boxes efficiently. You will also be responsible for reading order sheets, pulling supplies for customers, organizing the warehouse, and tracking inventory. Additionally, you will manage incoming pieces, ensuring they are recorded and sent out promptly. Basic shipping and receiving duties using UPS and FedEx systems are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Package boxes with care to prevent damage during transport.
• Read order sheets and pull supplies for customers.
• Organize warehouse and track inventory accurately.
• Manage incoming pieces and ensure timely recording and dispatch.
• Perform basic shipping and receiving duties using UPS and FedEx systems.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RF scanning for inventory management.
• Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
• Familiarity with UPS and FedEx systems.
• Basic computer skills for inventory entry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Experience in packaging materials and products.
• Experience in tracking inventory.
• Stand-up forklift experience is a plus but not necessary.
• Basic cycle count and inventory knowledge.

Work Environment

The position is based in a basic warehouse setting with an average team of 10-15 employees. The environment is clean and organized, with warehouse and assembly departments. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4 pm, with hours varying based on business needs and some overtime required.

This is a Contract position based out of Newark, CA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
