Details Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15 13-week assignment length Every other weekend required Floating required Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active IL RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS and CPI preferred Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with tracheostomy care and management Experience in telemetry and respiratory care settings Must provide a Nursys license verification pulled within the last 2 weeks Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit including monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and respiratory/tracheostomy care First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 days off and no time off during the first or last week of the contract Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate Block scheduling requests are not accommodated Former staff at any University of Chicago Medicine location (including Ingalls, PRN, or permanent staff) must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-743251.
