Assistant Program ManagerWCMHS Sunrise Wellness Center is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Manager who is or is willing to become a Certified Peer Specialist, to work in a dynamic environment. This individual will work with individuals and groups within Sunrise Wellness Center, the community and people served homes. The focus of the Assistant Program Manager will be guiding and supporting individuals on their journeys of recovery, program development, and supervision of staffSummary of DutiesDevelop and implement programs at the Sunrise Wellness Center working collaboratively with individuals on their personal journeysMust be a certified Peer Specialist or willing to become a certified Peer SpecialistLead groups which include but are not limited to activities of daily living, emotional and physical resilience, community connections and workforce developmentProvide support to individuals who struggle with homelessness, symptom management and substance useMust be able to complete and stay up to date on all required documentationMust be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with gardening and chicken careMust be able to drive agency vehicles with multiple passengersCompensation and BenefitsWCMHS provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a generous retirement contribution match. Our industry-leading paid time off package includes 12.5 flexible holidays per year and 12 days each vacation and paid sick time earned in your first year of employment.The pay range for this position is $22.41 - $26.89 per hour.Summary of QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMust be an individual with lived experience in the areas of mental health symptoms and or substance abuseUphold the ethics of Peer Specialists and ability to maintain confidentiality.Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact respectfully and collaboratively with clients, staff and the communityUnderstand and hold in positive regard individuals who struggle with mental illness, addiction, developmental and intellectual disorders, LGBTQI+ community and diverse backgrounds and ethnicitiesWillingness to learn and practice effective crisis intervention and de-escalation skillsAbility and willingness to prepare for, respond to and adapt to change and to work in a dynamic environmentThe ability to deliver services and complete treatment notes in EnglishWorkplace ConditionsWork takes place in a school and community settings. Frequent transportation of clients in one's own vehicle.
