Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst is responsible for assisting with underwriting new commercial loans and maintaining the health of existing commercial loan portfolio.

Primary Functions

• Spreads financial data. Prepares in depth analysis and cash flow shocks based on customer/loan type.
• Prepares narrative analysis of findings and identifies trends, strengths and weaknesses and makes recommendations.
• Conducts credit investigations as requested using 3rd party and other resources and conducts collateral evaluations and audits as requested.
• Assists in managing financial expiring documentation.
• Monitors borrowing base and other loan covenants.

Secondary Functions

• Participates, with account officers, on customer and prospect calls when necessary.
• Assists in "special projects" as needed.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods working at a desk

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Graduate or GED and either Associate's Degree or 2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in computer applications, Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of bank operations and control systems.
