Position: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Denver, CO (On-site collaboration with local teams)

About the Role

Symbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support our client's Accounting and Finance team. This role is instrumental in managing revenue recognition, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and more. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of GAAP.

This position will partner with Office Managers and operations staff, and reports directly to the Divisional Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financialstatements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement ofCash Flows
• Lead the month-end close processfor multiple divisions
• Reconcile all accounts to theGeneral Ledger accurately and timely
• Maintain supporting documentationand adjust general ledger entries as needed
• Assist with inventoryreconciliations and participate in month-end inventory processes
• Track and report daily/weeklycash activities and validate Treasury reports
• Maintain fixed asset records andmanage acquisitions/disposals
• Prepare business personalproperty tax and sales tax filings across jurisdictions
• Perform monthly bankreconciliations
• Coordinate with HR to recordpayroll tax journal entries
• Support accounting for farmoperations and collections
• Ensure compliance with companyaccounting policies and procedures
• Provide audit documentation andsupport as requested
• Assist with special projectsassigned by management

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP andaccrual accounting principles
• High-level analytical andproblem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal
• Strong time management andorganizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Exceland Office Suite
• Ability to work independently andcollaboratively

Preferred Background

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of relevantexperience
• Experience with ERP systems,preferably Sage Intacct or equivalent
• Background in inventory ormanufacturing accounting
• A/P or A/R management experienceis a plus
