We’re now looking for our next hero to level up our Commercial Team in Hamburg. Are you in? As a Commercial Manager, you play a key role in strengthening and expanding MPL’s customer base in Germany. You actively acquire new clients, build strong relationships with existing accounts, and position our diverse service portfolio—including Sea, Air, Project Cargo and ISO Tanks—firmly in the market. Working closely with Operations and Management, you translate customer needs into smart, competitive logistics solutions. Your structured, driven, and results-focused approach ensures a strong pipeline, successful conversions, and continued commercial development. You serve as a reliable point of contact for all commercial matters, from offer preparation to contract discussions. Through client meetings, trade fairs and industry events, you stay connected to the pulse of the market and continuously identify new business opportunities. You will be based in our Hamburg office. Responsibilities Identify and acquire new business opportunities in freight forwarding and logistics. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients. Translate customer needs into competitive logistics solutions in collaboration with Operations and Management. Prepare offers, quotes and commercial proposals. Negotiate contracts and close sales. Represent MPL at trade fairs, industry events and client meetings. Maintain a strong pipeline and achieve sales targets. Qualifications Sales experience in freight forwarding or logistics. Strong communication, networking, negotiation and closing skills. Structured, goal-oriented, reliable and results-driven work style. Confident public speaker and relationship builder. Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus. Initiative, independence and focus on results. Comfortable preparing quotes, costings and proposals.
