Financial Analyst

Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting division is seeking a fully remote FP&A Analysis to join a large insurance and IA firm for their busiest season! This is a fully remote position that would start right away! (PST hours).Job Duties:Support the build of company's annual budget across its core components: Revenue buildCost build (Opex, vendor, G&A and CapDev)Headcount and capacity modelingBudget consolidation and reporting in PlanfulCompare budget submissions to current-year run rate and the latest forecast; flag variances and recommend where assumptions should change.Bring budget-cycle practices from prior PE-owned or public companies to sharpen companies process and assumptions.Works Cross-FunctionallyWork effectively with FP&A team members and business leaders across US and offshore time zones; this is an individual-contributor role with no direct reports.Establish working relationships quickly with department leaders, alongside the FP&A team, to gather, challenge and finalize their budget inputs and support ad-hoc analysis during the cycle.AccountableOwn assigned budget workstreams end to end: model build, review with department leaders, and consolidation into the company budget. Present budget findings, assumptions and narratives to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance and senior leadership in clear, concise ways. Meet budget calendar deadlines; build models and analysis that are clean, auditable and documented so the FP&A team can carry them forward after the engagement.Minimum Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, complemented by senior-level FP&A experience.• Demonstrated excellence in financial data analysis and the creation of detailed financial models, reports and performance summaries. • Has completed annual budget cycles at PE-owned or public companies.• Proven experience in owning and presenting financial performance information to varied stakeholders of an organization.• Highly competent with financial planning tools and advanced Excel modeling. Experience using AI/LLM tools to enhance productivity without compromising quality required.• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and budgeting principles.• Proven proficiency in developing and reporting key metrics that drive business outcomes and the factors that influence them.• A self-starter: highly organized, takes ownership without prompting, spots what needs doing next, and works independently to multi-task and prioritize deadlines.• Deeply analytical with exceptional communication/presentation skills, intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset.If you have a degree in Finance and have 5-7 years of FA or FP&A experience, (insurance industry a plus!), apply today!
