Our client is looking for an experienced commercial construction project manager who can lead their team to success! You'll oversee the entire construction project, making sure it's completed correctly and on time.
The ideal candidate will be an effective problem-solver who loves motivating people and thrives on achievement. If you're ready to lead an extraordinary team where you can take ownership from start to finish, let's talk.
Responsibilities:
- Manage general contractors and construction workers and give guidance as needed to ensure high-quality project performance
- Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors
- Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met
- Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly
- Determine the project deliverables and specifications, including the project scope, necessary project resources, and estimated labor needed by collaborating with clients, engineers, and architects
- Provide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the project
- Inform key stakeholders of the status of the project by producing regular progress reports
Qualifications:
- Construction or project management software experience is a significant plus
- Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields is highly valued
- Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly valued
- 3 + years of experience as a construction project manager with ground up experience
