About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to establish and maintain a robust risk management framework for its in-formation bank. The CRO will be responsible for identifying, measuring, and managing a wide range of risks, including credit, market, liquidity, operational, compliance, technology, and model-related risks. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the bank operates within the defined risk appetite and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also be tasked with overseeing the bank's information security, compliance, and community reinvestment programs, as well as developing and maintaining a model governance framework. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with the Board and regulatory bodies are essential. Applicants for the CRO position at the company's in-formation bank should have a minimum of 15-20 years' experience in banking or financial services, with at least 7-10 years in a senior risk leadership role at a regulated financial institution. A deep understanding of enterprise risk management, banking regulatory requirements, and second-line governance is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing compliance, BSA/AML, OFAC, CRA, and cybersecurity risk programs, and experience with model risk governance and CECL/stress testing frameworks. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree and professional certifications such as FRM, CAMS, CRCM, or CPA being highly valued. The role demands a professional with a proven track record of delivering results, a strong sense of integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
