Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding - Dallas

We're partnering with a well-established international logistics provider seeking a driven Business Development Manager to help expand its domestic and international freight forwarding business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, developing new business, and crafting customized transportation and supply chain solutions for clients. The ideal candidate has experience in freight forwarding sales - or comes from an operations background and is ready to transition into a customer-facing business development role.

What You'll Do

• Develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory through prospecting, networking, and cold outreach.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline while cultivating long-term client relationships.
• Identify customer transportation and logistics needs, and present customized domestic and international shipping solutions.
• Prepare and deliver polished sales presentations and proposals.
• Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer service.
• Support RFP responses, pricing strategies, and customer implementation plans.
• Negotiate service solutions and pricing with prospective and existing clients.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
• Consistently work toward revenue and growth targets while maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales or freight forwarding operations with a desire to move into sales.
• Strong understanding of international and domestic transportation, logistics, and supply chain solutions.
• Proven ability to build relationships, generate new business, and close opportunities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales management software.
• Bachelor's degree preferred
