Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of labor and employment defense experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, and employment counseling. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required, along with experience in both federal and state courts. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in the California State Bar are mandatory. Duties: Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and employment discrimination cases. Provide legal counseling to employers on employment law issues, including compliance with federal and state regulations. Draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks, and company policies. Conduct internal investigations and handle employee-related disputes and claims. Prepare and argue motions, manage discovery processes, and represent clients in federal and state court proceedings. Advise clients on best practices for managing employment-related issues and minimizing legal risks. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective litigation and counseling strategies. Requirements: 5-7 years of labor and employment defense experience.
