Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a pediatric cardiac cath lab, requiring RT-R (ARRT) or RCIS certification and 1+ years of experience.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab performing Heart, IR, and EP procedures
• 40 hour work week with rotating on-call coverage
• Shift hours from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• RT-R (ARRT) or RCIS certification required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA)
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment

Additional Information

• Assist with procedures to analyze, diagnose, and treat the cardiovascular system
• Perform active physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, and saturations
• Anticipate procedural changes and communicate patient condition updates to physicians and the care team
• Conduct patient testing and monitoring including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations
• Assist with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up
• Maintain asepsis and follow infection control and sharps safety protocols
• Provide patient education on post-procedure monitoring and catheter insertion site care
• Accepts local candidates, though a radius rule may apply to determine pay rate eligibility
