The Shop Mechanic reports to our main office in Commerce Township, and is often dispatched to our job locations, which can be found all over the state of Michigan./ppC.A. Shop Mechanic qualifications and duties include, but are not limited to:/pulliPerforming routine truck and equipment maintenance and inspections/liliServicing a variety of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, generators, air compressors, and specialty equipment/liliTroubleshooting and making general repairs/liliOperating a variety of hand and power tools/liliPossess a CDL license, or be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver License CDL) within 1 year of employment/liliWorking outdoors in all weather conditions; including but not limited to, snow, rain and varying temperatures/liliWorking at heights with the use of mobile equipment and ladders/liliFrequently required to stand, use hands to hold hand and power tools, finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or hear. Occasionally, the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl/liliWorking safely near and around highway traffic and noisy operations/liliAbility to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs/li/ulpC.A.
